No Intention

So I've been wanting to update, but to be honest I haven't felt like I had much to contribute to the blogosphere. I guess that's the difference between me and 4.7 billion YouTube commenters, AMIRIGHT?

Anyway...things have just not been going my way the past week. So I was going to try and wait until I had good news before I posted again on the olde blogge (<--- Olde English). Someone always said (Mom or Piglet or who can remember anyway?) if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

It's just that sometimes I feel like I'm Jon Stewart and other people are Fox News at best, or Hitler at worst. Like common sense has just gone right out the window in order to accommodate one or more clinically insane people. You know?

So, to move forward (SERENITY NOW!), classes are going okay, including the adult class that my sitemate and I started at the beginning of this semester. Turn out has been relatively regular, and today we had 8 kids show up at my after school 6th grade English tutoring session. That's pretty neat!

On a completely unrelated note, can I just say that I must really be out of the loop because I don't understand this uproar about Arcade Fire. I don't pretend to know anything about music, but my impressions of the Grammy Awards is that they pretty much just take whoever has been playing non-stop on the radio for the last year and reward that person or group. So isn't it kind of AWESOME that an "indie" band would actually win? On that note, how do people not know who Arcade Fire is? It's not like they just climbed onto the music scene. Furthermore, did anyone complaining about them winning actually listen to the album?

That being said, what do I know? I'm just one more person trying to get through this next revolution around the sun.

So that's it. I have a decent feeling my next update will be a little more upbeat. Until then!
